Did He Or Didn't He?

It's a pretty well accepted fact that Jimi Hendix wasn't gay. But the question that may never be answered conclusively is whether he pretended to be homosexual in order to get out of the Army.

A recently published biography, backed up by documents later posted on The Smoking Gun claim Hendrix did, in fact, pull a Klinger -- albeit with greater success than the fictional M.A.S.H. corporal. But Hendrix's sister, Janie and former bandmate Billy Cox are disputing the claim.

Cox, who met Hendrix when they were both in the Army in 1961, tells the Tacoma News Tribune, "It's a lie." Charles Cross, author of Room Full of Mirrors, is sticking by his claim.
