As the latest auction of John Lennon memorabilia continues, a rare cover of The Beatles' White Album has sold for $16,000. A tape made by a reporter during Lennon's "Bed-In For Peace" with Yoko Ono in Montreal in 1969 brought $32,000. Lyrics to I'm Only Sleeping, handwritten by Lennon on the back of a phone bill, had been expected to bring at least $350,000, but failed to bring the reserve bid price. The song is from one of the Beatles' most successful albums, 1966's Revolver.
