Here are some artists you probably wouldn't expect to see at country music's CMA Awards show: Paul Simon, Elton John, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi. Joel will be a presenter at the November 15 show, the rest will be performing duets: Sir Elton with Dolly Parton, Simon with Willie Nelson, Bon Jovi with Jennifer Nettles of the group Sugarland. This year's show is making a one-time-only move from Nashville to New York City. It will be broadcast live from Madison Square Garden in prime time on CBS. CMA Awards Show Tickets
Working Class Hero has become the first of John Lennon's solo albums to be made available via digital download. The rest of Lennon's solo catalog will be released in digital format in December to coincide with the 25th anniversary of his murder. Previously only Ringo Starr's were the only solo albums by former Beatles available for digital download. None of the Beatles catalog is available digitally.
Oh, please. Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono have been publicly feuding for so long (about 35 years now) that it's hardly news when one of them takes a dig at the other. How about when one of them apologizes for something said about the other? Ono made a snide remark about McCartney's songwriting at an awards show in London last month. Now she's telling Rolling Stone that reporters blew her remarks out of proportion (can you imagine such a thing happening?) and that if she offended Sir Paul in any way, she's sorry. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Read all the gory details if you must ...
