Ray Davies: Kink Who Makes You Think

Although he was lead singer and guitarist for The Kinks, Ray Davies is probably best known -- and most highly regarded -- for his songwriting. His lyrics ranged from traditional power rock themes of sex, drugs, and the party life to social issues and the everyday lives of everyday people.
