Gene Pitney: 1941-2006

Gene Pitney was in the midst of an ambitious 23-day tour of the UK when his manager found him dead in his hotel room this morning (4/5) in Cardiff, England. Pitney's management company said there were no signs that the 65-year-old singer was ill, but a post-mortem revealed that he died in his sleep of natural causes.
