The (Sour) Grapes Of Roth

Saturday April 22, 2006
Easily the least surprising news of the week is that David Lee Roth (ex-Van Halen) has lost his radio gig after a short but stormy try at replacing Howard Stern on terrestrial radio. Since his debut in January, Roth has publicly feuded with CBS Radio management about the content and format of the show, and has lost most of Stern's audience share.

Roth was typically combative on his final show Friday, saying "I was booted, tossed, and it's going to cost somebody," an apparent reference to the $4-million contract he signed. Roth is being replaced by the syndicated "Opie and Anthony" show.
