And This Really Matters Because ... ???

With the Def Leppard / Journey US tour set to begin this week (June 23) hardcore Journey fans are all abuzz over rumours that the band is using pre-recorded vocal tracks in its live performances.

So far there's been no comment from the band, but the debate is raging on the message board on Journey's own Web site as to whether and to what extent Steve Augeri's live performances are being augmented by backing tapes.

Journey has just wrapped up the European leg of its 2006 tour, with 47 US dates scheduled through the end of September.
