New Cars Tour Cancelled
Is it just me or is it just a tad ironic that the New Cars / Blondie Road Rage Tour has been cancelled because of a traffic accident?Cars guitarist Elliot Easton suffered a broken collarbone when the band's tour bus swerved to avoid another vehicle. He played four more shows before going to a doctor and undergoing surgery.
According to the New Cars Web site, a few of the cancelled dates may be rescheduled, but which ones, how many, and when are all unknown as of now.

What a shame for a tour of this magnitude to be cancelled.
The New Cars and Blondie “Road Rage Tour” was one of the best concerts I have seen (and reviewed) in years.
Blondie was great and with Todd Rundgren leading the vocals, The New Cars were dynamite!
I hope The New Cars can get their show back on the road again soon. I also want to wish the best to Elliott on his recovery.
Sign on and listen to our reviews of this fabulous tour.
God Bless,

The “New Cars” tour was outstanding. I caught it in Vegas in May. The band truly rocks, as good (or better) than the original! This band is now a musicians band as well. Lets hope they get back on the road after stellar guitarist E.E. heals!
I too saw the New Cars tour/show in Dallas in May. Loved it! Makes me realize how good their sound (STILL) is. The new songs are great too. I love their new CD.:) Hope they do more concerts…
New Cars are fantastic. New players in the band are excellent. Love their new cd!
I saw The Cars as my first concert in 1979, and never saw them again until The News Cars came to Boston (the night of the accident that has now cancelled the tour), but I’ve listened to them my who life, through some of the best parties I’ve ever attended. What a fantastic night and concert we had at the recent show! Todd R. is the perfect frontman to the abscent Ric O., and Greg and Eliot were perfect and powerful. The addition of Karim and Prairie (though I was not familiar previous to this) is excellent (and who would have thought that they could find a bass player who could deliver with the sound of Ben Orr). I’ve turned my twins, five years old, on to The Cars music, and we have been listening to and singing with, the new album a lot. I couldn’t wait to see when they came through Boston again, and I’m really bummed that they had to cancel. I hope they can get it together again, because from the crowd I saw in early June, they have a lot of fans waiting for them.
