Preview: Bob Seger - Face the Promise CD

Bob Seger really has nothing left to prove. Having released his first single some 40 years ago, he has long since found his "voice" as a singer and as a songwriter. Album sales just this side of 50-million have provided financial security.
So, from Seger's standpoint, 11 years between albums is no big deal. For his fans, it has been a very long wait for his new album, Face the Promise, due out September 12.

Seger rules -but I do hope it gets a bit funkier than this. This one just sounds like a re-run of Against the Wind. If this is the best he can do, I’ll settle for his ‘old’ stuff and just remisce ’bout the days of old -which were so good you could wonder if we really need a new album at all.
