Concert Review: Peter Frampton

Peter Frampton is currently touring in support of his new album, Fingerprints. Last weekend, the tour stopped in suburban Detroit, where guest reviewer Alun Williams says Frampton proved that when it comes to guitar shredding, he's no old fart yet! Here's his review of Peter Frampton live.

We saw Peter Frampton’s concert last night in Houston at Verizon Theater. His performance is amazing but is stage manager needs to have his head examined. We were only able to enjoy the first 20 minutes of his show, then the mobs of people crowded the stage. There were a number of fist fights that nearly broke out because of people stepping on each other and fighting for position. If you were on the floor, you had to stand the rest of the show to see anything. I have no objection the mosh pit formation but you should sell general admission tickets instead of allowing people to block the view of those who paid top dollar for great seats. More importantly, it was a safety hazard and tempers ran high. My fiancée had beer spilled on her when two other guys began arguing over floor position. That crowed scene mixed with lots of alcohol was rather volatile. I’d pass on this if you expect to be able to sit and watch in a civilized manner.
Went to Framptons concert last nite in Kingsport,TN he rocked the house. He played just like he did when he was younger. Great concert would go see him again.

Frampton should be embarrassed after last night’s show at the Stone Pony in Asbury park, NJ. What a jerk. He lost fans last night. He comes on saying he’ll be rocking the crowd til Thursday and then storms off the stage 1-1/2 hours later without a word.
Hey Eric, really surprised to hear that …, although I’ve missed his show the last 2 times he’s come around this way.
