Interview: May Pang - John Lennon's "Lost Weekend" Lover
This is the time of year when memories of John Lennon are especially poignant for people who were close to him. On December 8, it will have been 26 years since his murder. On October 9, he would have been 66 years old.
One of those who, somewhat reluctantly at first, was close to Lennon was May Pang, who became his personal assistant when he and Yoko Ono moved to New York City, and his lover when John and Yoko were having marital problems in 1973.
Some Beatles biographers have downplayed or ignored Pang's relationship with Lennon, but in his 2005 book Lennon Revealed, Larry Kane writes that "this friendship and romance lasted ten years. To ignore that friendship and their time together would be a gross attempt at revising history."
Here's our interview with May Pang.

Congrats on the interview. Great original content. It’s interesting how she switches tenses, from past to present. Hard to believe John’s been gone 26 years!
Thanks, Sandy. May certainly does offer a unique perspective on Lennon’s post-Beatles life.
