Feast on Floyd
Hungry for some Pink Floyd? This should fill you up for a while.
The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (Special Edition) is a 3-CD set that includes newly remastered stereo and mono versions of Floyd's groundbreaking debut album, the only one that has Syd Barrett's indelible stamp.
A bonus disc includes singles and B-sides from 1967 (the year the album was released,) the previously unreleased stereo version of "Apples and Oranges" and a mix of "Interstellar Overdrive" previously released only on an EP in France. Other goodies will include a reproduction of one of Barrett's notebooks.
A 2-CD version will also be available, with the two remasters of the album but with the bonus goodies omitted.
If your appetite still needs some whetting, you may listen to "Bike" and/or watch a rare video of "Arnold Layne."
Release date is September 4. If your appetite is sufficiently whetted, you can compare prices for The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (Special Edition).
