Stephen Stills Has Cancer

Friday December 21, 2007

I just hate coincidences like this.

In the same week that Dan Fogelberg died of prostate cancer, Stephen Stills (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young) has been diagnosed with the same condition.

Band mate Graham Nash was the bearer of the bad news in an interview on CNN's Larry King Live.

Referencing Fogelberg, Nash said, "Unlike Danny, who left it too long to be seriously checked, Stephen found his at an early stage."

Stills will undergo surgery on January 3, coincidentally, his 63rd birthday.

(4) Tony Dugdale says:

Dear Stephen
Your wonderful music has been a tremendous part of my life, from Buffalo Springfield to “Just Roll Tape”. I saw you on all your recent UK visits, from Wembley 74 to Brighton in 2005. So all the very best and once you’re past this get your solo band together and come back to the UK!
