Ringo On Your Wrist

Now that the individual former members of The Beatles have embraced digital technology, they're apparently determined to do it in a big way.

Take Ringo Starr. His new Liverpool 8 album is on the street January 15. It's a CD. It's a digital download. Heck, it's even a wrist band that you plug into a USB port on your computer, complete with wristband-exclusive video.

Dave Stewart (ex-Eurythmics) co-produced the project, Starr's 14th solo release, the last being Choose Love in 2005. His last six releases were co-produced by Mark Hudson (ex-Hudson Brothers) but the two parted ways in 2006 when Hudson opted out of the All Starr Band tour to pursue another project.

A massive publicity campaign is accompanying the release of Liverpool 8 so, whether you want to or not, you'll probably be hearing more about it.
