Asia - Phoenix - CD Review
Fans of mythology (or Harry Potter) know all about how the bird known as the Phoenix periodically burns up, then rises from the ashes good as new.
The original lineup of Asia (Carl Palmer, John Wetton, Steve Howe, Goeff Downes) is back together on a new album that they hope will bring about a rebirth of the classic Asia of days gone by.
Alun Williams' review of Asia's Phoenix tackles the question of whether we're witnessing a real rise from the ashes.

Comments
Thanks for the introduction, but this album is just awesome!. From start to End Phoenix makes the listener go through the years, the situations of life and a special connection with their members. As we all well know Asia is known as a supergroup because all their members come from exceptional bands as Emerson Lake and Palmer, Yes, King Crimson & The Buggles. This new album brings a lot of emotion, the musicianship is as perfect as the beginning, their motivation, their aim makes their esence arise just like the title of this album. Personally as a prog rock fan and musician I can’t be happier of having this album in my hands. 25 years later ASIA keeps making quality music and that’s remarkable. Special greetings and thanks to Geoff Downes for keeping this band alive over the years.
