Macca in Israel? Still a Rumor
Call me a nebbish, but I'm not convinced that reports in the Israeli media of an impending Paul McCartney concert in Tel Aviv fall into the category of fact just yet.
Fact: In 1965, The Beatles were booked to tour Israel, but they weren't allowed to enter the country because the government was afraid that they would somehow manage to corrupt Israel's youth.
Fact: Earlier this year, McCartney was reportedly going to perform in Israel, but the concert was cancelled.
Fact: Asked about a reported Tel Aviv concert on September 25, Macca's publicist says that nothing has been confirmed.
Can you see why I'm a little skeptical? For now, I'll tell you that there are reports in the Israeli media that McCartney will perform in Tel Aviv on September 25. I'll let you know if it actually happens.
