Blues Rock Never Stops for Elvin Bishop
If Elvin Bishop's name is just kinda sorta familiar to you, it may well be because of his lone hit single, "Fooled Around And Fell In Love" back in 1976.
If you're among the more serious blues rock aficionados, you know him as a nine-year veteran of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, leader of his own Elvin Bishop group, and a frequent performer with the likes of The Allman Brothers Band and B.B. King.
Bishop's latest (of about three dozen since 1969) solo project is The Blues Rolls On on which he collaborates with the aforementioned B.B., Allmans Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes, and George Thorogood (just to entice you with a few of the best known) among the members of a distinguished supporting cast.
Wanna taste? Check out "Struttin' My Stuff" featuring a mini-reunion of Bishop, Trucks and Haynes.
Release date is September 23.
