• 1968 - A report from a University of Florida lab concludes that the sound level at a typical rock concert is harmful to the human ear
• 1973 - Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert is recorded during a live concert in London that also featured Pete Townshend (The Who); Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Ric Grech and Rebop Kwaku Baah (Traffic); and Ronnie Wood (Faces)
• 1979 - Not flattered by the publicity, the YMCA sues Village People over their song, "Y.M.C.A." - the suit is later dropped
