Beatles Game Track List

More songs have been added to the list of those that are included in the upcoming release of the video game, The Beatles: Rock Band. Release date is 09/09/09 ("number 9, number 9, number 9") and MTV has the track list. Also new on that date, CDs of Beatles albums, remastered this time.

New KISS Release via Walmart

Speaking of track lists, we have one for the upcoming KISS album, courtesy of The Tripwire. Sonic Boom will be the band's first new studio release since 1998, and will be part of a package that includes a live performance DVD and a "greatest hits" CD. The package will be available via Walmart beginning 10/06/09.

Like Eddie, Like Tony

Black Sabbath/Heaven and Hell guitarist Tony Iommi is about to undergo the same sort of hand surgery from which Eddie Van Halen is currently recovering. Iommi will gut out the "almost constant pain" in his left hand through the current H&H tour before undergoing surgery. More from Rock Radio.

Bum Dylan

Bless her heart, the 24-year-old police officer just didn't recognize the old geezer wandering through a residential neighborhood in the rain, and didn't believe him when he identified himself as Bob Dylan. According to an ABC News report, she also didn't believe that he was on tour with John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson until she drove him to the hotel where she saw a large contingent of tour buses, and an ID in the form of Dylan's passport. Oh, snap!

MY THOUGHTS ON THE “FAB ONE”!!!

Two Tickets and Parking to see the Fab One = $350
Souvenirs, 2 Hot Dogs, Fries and 2 Soft Drinks = $100
Crossing “See McCartney” off my Bucket List = Priceless

Let me say first I’m a serious “Beatles” fan, a moderate “Wings” fan but just a casual “McCartney Solo” fan so I want to clarify my perspective. I did, however, do some homework to catch up on Sir Paul’s latest work so I wouldn’t be totally lost… it’s amazing this guy has done over 40 albums SINCE the Beatles… sorry I digress. I gave myself a refresher course with set-lists from previous shows, current interviews and UTube video performances of his current tunes. I was ready, yea yea yea.

Getting IN. Getting AROUND, Getting GOING and Getting OUT was a large hassle…

GETTING IN:
Got there couple of hours early due to warnings of rush hour and Rangers traffic AND to be able to tour the new Cowboy Stadium as well as enjoy the show. Unfortunately, with the other 50,000 folks, I stood outside on the concrete for over an hour before the doors opened between 6:30 and 7.

GETTING AROUND:
The security personnel seemed intrusive and snobbish… My lady was told “NO CAMERA PICTURES” about an hour before anything had even started! She was using her telephone!!! AND we must have had our tickets scanned a half dozen times. You weren’t supposed to leave your “assigned floor” based on your ticket seating, we were told. My reply was “Based on the COST of these tickets, I want to get my money’s worth”!!

GETTING GOING:
It was late starting… not atypical of a rock concert, but this was accented by the fact we all still had to stand outside in the heat while Paul did his sound checks. I had to use my new PMcC Tee to wipe the sweat from my head! When inside, we were treated to a video of Cowboy World getting built before the concert started and I expected to see Paul on the Gigantic Scoreboard Video Screen… no luck ‘cause it wasn’t turned on until the end of the very last encore!

GETTING OUT:
Getting in wasn’t too bad, getting OUT was a nightmare. A sea of motorists lined up at exits that weren’t moving and others making their own way over curbs and such to escape. Little or no direction OR security AND the parking lot was full of guys walking around selling bootleg tee-shirts! Where were all the security guys so concerned if I wanted to go to a snack bar not on my ticket level???

GETTING ROCKED:
Oh yea, almost forgot… the music part was great! I am going to add some things other reviewers might not mention… I’m sure PMcC is a pretty ego driven fella by anyone’s standards, we should all know that. He displayed his talents by playing anything he could pluck, plink or pound; bass, acoustic, electric, mandolin, uke, along with the electric piano.

He should have introduced his band-mates. They were a fabulous backup to the “Real” King of Pop Rock but barely got a nod!

Also, he did seem a bit overboard when trying to portray his act as sheer spontaneity but his set-list was near identical to Atlanta & Tulsa so the routine was a bit contrived, not as ad-libbed as some may have thought…

All in All… A Good Time Was Had By All! B+
