Tony Iommi's cancer treatments and Bill Ward's contract dispute have combined to put an end to the reunion of the original members of Black Sabbath.
Touring instead will be Ozzy and Friends, which will contain just two of the four originals, Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler. Zakk Wylde (Osbourne's guitarist) and Slash (ex-Guns N' Roses) will join Butler and Osbourne for a short 15-date tour, according to The Guardian.
Work continues (without Ward) on a new album and the Black Sabbath Facebook page reports that Iommi is making "excellent progress" with his treatments for early stage lymphoma. Original members (except Ward) will play one date, the Download Festival in June.
