For a long time, Ann and Nancy Wilson have resisted suggestions that they write a book about their 36 year career with Heart, because it just didn't feel right. Fortunately for us, it finally felt right.
Kicking & Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul and Rock & Roll (released 9/18/12 by It Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers) is the very personal story of two women who, says Ann, "are being told there are rules to follow and just won't do it." It's the story of Heart's past and, per Nancy, their future. "When you're pushing sixty, you know what you want and you go for it."
In collaboration with music biographer Charles R. Cross, the Wilson sisters tell a fascinating story full of victories, defeats, and battles with their inner demons.

The mention of them stalking Paul McCartney certainly piqued my interest, but this book looks interesting regardless. Nice review!
Thanks, Ryan. It’s a pretty funny story, of which there are any in the book. Some sad ones, too.
So turns 25. And Peter Gabriel musically is still boring!!
