Several of them are still actively performing, some have turned to other pursuits, some have died. But they have each gifted us with a lasting legacy of vocal, instrumental, and lyrical talent that has already influenced two generations of artists of both genders. READ MORE

Nice article, Dave. I enjoyed your list. However, no list of this nature is complete without Linda Ronstadt. Although her musical styles varied through her long, illustrious career, she was undoubtedly the most successful female rock and roll singer in the 1970s. One of the finest female vocalists of all time.
No argument from me, Steve. A list of women in classic rock should be a Top 100, ten just isn’t enough to cover everyone who should be on it.
