Poll: Your Favorite Album By The Doors

The six original studio albums recorded by The Doors prior to the death of vocalist/songwriter Jim Morrison are considered among the classics of classic rock.

Choosing a favorite from among them can be tough. Each of the six albums has something important and memorable. But choose we shall, in this week's About Classic Rock Poll.

I dont’ think The Doors ever topped their debut album. It was near perfection from beginning to end. Songs like “Break on Through”, “Soul Kitchen”, “The Crystal Ship”, “Light My Fire” and my personal favorite “The End” make this an easy choice for me.

Have they come up with an album that features all their best hits? If they have, maybe I’ve just failed to buy it. I love some of their songs.

There have been several compilation albums issued. One of the most popular is Best of the Doors.

You can check the the doors discography but to my opinion the “best of” is the one album that presents the best work of the doors
