Toto - Falling In Between Live CD/DVD Review

Thursday March 20, 2008

They just don't make rock bands like they used to.

For Toto, there really isn't a used to, considering that they have been recording and touring virtually non-stop for more than 30 years.

This is not a band who sells out concert venues merely by playing their "greatest hits." Their 13th studio album, Falling In Between was released in 2006, and their kick-butt tour performances these days contain a blend of old and new material.

One of Toto's 2007 world tour stops is now in the CD/Download/DVD pipeline, and is worthy of your notice. Here's my review of Falling In Between Live.

Dave - agree greatly with your comments Sir, indeed a much overlooked band here in the US these days & it truly beats me why?

Last years tour, was in much smaller venues than the previous US tour about 4 or so years back now, when they toured with The Tubes. - Funnily enough, a band that Toto have also done much session work with!

What talent these guys have & once again, why they are so ignored here in the US is criminal!
Sad days indeed!

Anyone that has previously EVER enjoyed Toto’s work, be it in the studio or live, you’d be foolish not to check this out.
Perhaps if the US fan base buys enough copies, it will show Luke (Steve Lukather) that there is indeed still demand for the band live on these shores!
