The Beatles' 1967 film, Magical Mystery Tour has been restored and, in this release, augmented by new interviews with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and other members of the cast and crew. Performance footage that wasn't in the original film has been added to the restored version.

Monster will be the 20th KISS studio album, and the second to be produced by guitarist-vocalist Paul Stanley. Co-founder Gene Simmons (bass/vocals) says band members collaborated closely on the album, adding "The best thing we did was to turn inwards to ourselves." The other members are longtime veterans Tommy Thayer (guitar) and drummer Eric Singer.
