2007 Tour Begins May 28

The Police 2007 world tour is now a bona fide reality. Beginning May 28 in Vancouver, the band will celebrate its 30th anniversary with an arena tour that will take them through North America and Europe and keep them busy through the end of the year. Dates in Mexico, South America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are also possible.

14 North American shows are confirmed, including high profile venues like Boston's Fenway Park, New York City's Madison Square Garden and the Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee:

06/09/07 - Denver, CO
06/15/07 - Las Vegas, NV
06/16/07 - Manchester, TN
06/18/07 - Phoenix, AZ
06/26/07 - Dallas, TX
06/30/07 - New Orleans, LA
07/02/07 - Saint Louis, MO
07/22/07 - Toronto, ON
07/25/07 - Montreal, QC[br 07/28/07 - Boston, MA
08/01/07 - New York, NY
08/03/07 - New York, NY

Ticket prices will be $50 / $90 / $225 with the first ones going on sale February 17 for the May 28 show.

As expected, band members Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers made the announcement at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, the site of their tour rehearsals.
