Rush Rock

2007 Tour and CD Release

It doesn't appear that the word retirement is in Rush's lexicon. Tour is there, along with new album. But retirement is apparently for those people who haven't already released 24 studio albums, been certified 9x gold and 19x platinum, won nine Juno awards and received four GRAMMY nominations.

Widely considered one of the best live bands in rock history, Rush last toured in 2004 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of their self-titled first album. The band's existence actually dates back to its formation in 1968. Founding members Geddy Lee (vocals) and Alex Lifeson (guitar) are still with the band. Neil Peart has been Rush's drummer since 1974.

The band's last album of original music was 2002's Vapor Trails. The band spent much of 2006 working on their newest release, Snakes & Arrows, which is scheduled for release on May 1, 2007.

Listen to the first single from the album, "Far Cry" in Windows Media or Real Audio format.

Here's the track list for Snakes & Arrows.
