Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel first started making music together in 1957 when they were still in high school. Their first album, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. was released in 1964 and contained the song that made them famous, "Sounds of Silence." They split up and reunited shortly thereafter, and went on to be one of the most successful acts of the '60s. They split in 1970 to pursue solo careers, and have reunited for successful tours in recent years.
