These childhood friends and classmates first performed together as Tom and Jerry when they were high school juniors. During the late '50s they released several singles under that name, the first of which, "Hey Schoolgirl" reached #49 on the Billboard singles chart in 1957.
Although they made just five studio albums before splitting in 1970, they became one of the most successful musical acts of the 20th century.
