Keith Richards Career History:
Although identified primarily with the Stones, he also had a short-lived solo career, releasing three albums in the late 80s and early 90s. This actually had the effect of reinvigorating the Stones. He has worked as a session player for Bono, U2, and Aretha Franklin, among others. He dropped the "s" from his last name in the mid 60s, but he added it back in 1979. Embracing a "bad boy" image early on, he may be better known for his drug habit than for his singing, songwriting, or guitar.
