Originally titled Get Back, the final studio album was repeatedly mixed, re-mixed, and shelved before being released, with Phil Spector producing. It was recorded in early 1969, several months before Abbey Road.

      The title refers to Paul and Linda McCartney
2. "Dig a Pony" (Lennon-McCartney)
      Written for Yoko by John, who later called it one of the worst he had ever written

      Originally released on a multi-artist benefit album for the World Wildlife Fund
4. "I Me Mine" (Harrison)
      George's song about the human ego was also the title of his autobiography
5. "Dig It" (Lennon-McCartney-Harrison-Starr)
      Edited down from a studio jam session; Billy Preston plays the organ
6. "Let It Be" (Lennon-McCartney)
      McCartney was inspired by a dream about his mother, Mary
7. "Maggie Mae" (Traditional, arranged by Lennon-McCartney-Harrison-Starr)
      Traditional folk song about a sailor being robbed by a hooker

      Consists of parts of three unfinished songs by Paul and John

      Increasing conflict in the band prompted this sad ballad
4. "For You Blue" (Harrison)
      Originally "George's Blues," it was one of the many songs he wrote for and about his wife, Patti
5. "Get Back" (Lennon-McCartney)
      The only single on which The Beatles shared billing with another artist: Billy Preston
