The self-titled Sheryl Crow was the artist's second album, selling more than 4-million, reaching #6 on the Billboard 200 and #5 in the U.K.

Crow also won the GRAMMY for Best Female Rock Vocal Performer for the song "If it Makes You Happy" from this album. The CD was banned from Wal-Mart stores because of a line in another song that referred to children buying guns at Wal-Mart stores.
