All That You Can't Leave Behind was U2's ninth studio album, coming 20 years after their first one. It became their third highest selling album.

The album reached #3 on the US album chart. Four tracks were released as singles. The album was co-produced by Brian Eno, who had also produced the group's two most successful albums, Achtung Baby and The Joshua Tree.
