It looks like it's going to be hard to get health insurance if you list "member of Mötley Crüe" as your occupation. The latest Crüe show stopper occurred October 12 in Casper, Wyoming when drummer Tommy Lee was injured by some errant fireworks. He was treated for minor burns, and all that was lost was the encore. It has been less than a month since lead singer Vince Neil tore a leg muscle during a show in Atlanta.
Eric Clapton will soon join the ranks of Classic Rockers who are published authors. The not-yet-titled memoirs will be published in 2007, coinciding with a much anticipated boxed set and a U.S. tour. According to publisher Random House, the book will address "everything that is known about his life as well as much that is not."
Poems written by Bob Dylan will be among the items to be sold at a November 21 Pop Rock Memorabilia Sale being conducted by Christie's auction house. Other items include some lyrics handwritten by Jim Morrison, and a gold medallion worn by Jimi Hendrix.
Billboard magazine's highest honor for creative achievement, will be presented to Tom Petty on December 6 in Las Vegas. Petty and the Heartbreakers have just completed a successful North American tour. Petty's third solo album is due to be released in early 2006.
