Scorpions - Humanity - Hour I CD Review
It has been 35 years (and 70-million albums sold) since Scorpions released their debut album. Their 21st release, produced by Desmond Child (Bon Jovi, KISS, Meat Loaf, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith) is due out August 28.
"There are a lot of people who say that the classic concept album is dead," says longtime Scorpions guitarist Rudolf Schenker. "We don't see it that way."
Reviewer Alun Williams says that once you get past the opening track, Humanity - Hour I sounds like a winner.

I had very high expectations for this albumn….And they completely pulled it off! This cd rocks, congrats guys!
The CD has been highly anticipated by Scorps fans all over the world and our Scorps did not disappoint! I personally LOVE the first track Hour 1 and when they open their show with that drum slammin’ that James does so well, it’s a thrilling ride from beginning to end!! They start out their shows rawkin us heavy and soothing us when they are done, leaving us panting from exhaustion and longing for the next time around!
Yep, it was an excellent return to form & made it easy for me to score it well!
Glad you liked it too folks.

This album is heavy and melodic. Very nice! The rock style of the album is obviousely past its glory time but for those who like heavy metal (like me) this is one of the best they could get nowadays. I am sure this album would have been a big hit in the 80’s and early 90’s. I just have the feeling that any time in the future one of Scorpions’ albums would make a big return to the front scene just like Aerosmith did with Get a Grip.
This is wonderful music! The Humanity song is amazing, both as music and as content. One of the best songs I have ever heard.
