Okay, don't get too excited. It's not like they're doing a concert tour or recording new material. But the two living members of The Beatles will be performing together next month, for the first time since a George Harrison tribute in 2002.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will be among those performing at a Radio City Music Hall benefit on behalf of filmmaker David Lynch's efforts to educate middle school and high school student about Transcendental Meditation. In 1968, The Beatles and Donovan (who will also be performing at the April 4 benefit) spent time in India studying TM with the late Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

"The Beatles: Rock Band" Release Details
September 9 (09-09-09, get it?) is the scheduled worldwide release date for the new interactive video game (announced last year) featuring The Beatles. The game is the result of a collaboration between Apple Corps, Harmonix and MTV Games. It will be available for Xbox, Wii and PlayStation systems.

Be a Beatles Major
A lot of people can claim to have a lot of knowledge about The Beatles, but none could claim to have a degree in the subject. That's about to change. Liverpool Hope University is going to offer a Masters degree program entitled The Beatles, Popular Music and Society. The University's senior popular music lecturer says, "There have been over 8,000 books about the Beatles but there has never been serious academic study and that is what we are going to address."

What a great show this will be, and for a great cause, too. For me, Transcendental Meditation is a way to melt away stress and experience an inner calmness I never thought I had before. Check it out: http://www.mum.edu

I find it inspirational when big name artists support worthy charitable causes. I’ve been practicing Transcendental Meditation for a few years and have gotten great good from it. But I didn’t know much about how others perceived it. So I went to the David Lynch Foundation website. I watched their videos of how these different people from different walks of life all found how Transcendental Meditation helped them to reduce their diabetes and improve their grade point average and so on. It was pretty amazing, actually. This should be a great concert. And it will help a lot of people, too.
